Instrumentation and Control Technician
Description

Columbia Pulp is looking for an Instrumentation and Controls Technician to join our team. The Instrumentation and Controls Technician will be responsible for performing the installation and calibration of instrumentation and controls on plant systems. They will also work as a team member on all aspects associated with industrial equipment including carpentry, pipefitting/plumbing, fabrication, forklift operations, machine and equipment assembly, site cleanup, material handling, and rigging.

  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical diagrams, conduit diagrams, loop sheets and all wiring diagrams
  • Wire up I/0 to PLC cards
  • Install, connect and calibrate instrumentation
  • Install and connect automatic control valves
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation problems in the field
  • Physically be able to lift 40 lbs. or more, climb ladders and remain on feet for hours at a time
  • Programming experience a plus
