Maintenance Mechanic
Description

Columbia Pulp is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in an exciting new opportunity at a new state-of-the-art pulp mill located in Starbuck, Washington. This is a full-time position that will perform mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance on Columbia Pulp's Lyons Ferry Plant equipment and facilities. Requirements

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing the maintenance, installation and necessary modifications of plant mechanical equipment including pumps, valves, motors, tanks/vessels
  • Working as a team member on all aspects associated with the construction, maintenance and modification of industrial equipment including carpentry, pipefitting/plumbing, fabrication, forklift operations, machine and equipment assembly, site cleanup, material handling, and rigging
  • General construction duties as assigned

Experience and Skills:

  • Valid driver license
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Safety conscious attitude
  • Verified mechanical experience
  • Physically able to lift 40lbs or more, climb ladders and remain on feet for hours at a time

Certification Requirements:

  • Journeyman Card as Ironwork, Millwright, Pipefitter or related trade

OR

  • Completed a certification or training program in Diesel, Agricultural or Industrial Mechanics / 2+ years experience in a position performing the duties required for the position
