The Administrative Assistant for the Briner School of Business (BSB) works in direct
communication with the Dean and the Academic Director of the BSB, under direct supervision
of the Academic Director, to ensure professional and excellent service to students and faculty.
• Provide administrative support to both the Dean and Academic Director of the BSB as
• Provide support to faculty, both graduate and undergraduate, full-time and adjunct, by providing the necessary resources they need to fulfill their roles.
• Provide support to BSB students, undergraduate and graduate, by answering questions and facilitating communication.
• Dress and maintain professionalism as expected in a business office environment.
• Greet visitors and create positive atmosphere in the BSB for students.
• Assist the BSB with student advisement.
• Provide retention support by communicating with students about BSB information, as well as registration, term changes, and college deadlines.
• Provide assistance inputting grades and pertinent data into university databases.
• Periodically review grades/transcripts and alert the Director of Graduate Programs of any “at risk” graduate students.
• Assist in processing course evaluations and all enrollment and withdrawal forms.
• Disseminate assessment and evaluation data for appropriate reporting.
• Assist Dean and the Academic Director by working as a liaison with the Center for
• Teaching and Learning and with the offices of Assessment and Institutional Research,
• Information Technology, International Affairs, Admissions, Marketing, Records,
• Financial Aid, Student Success, and other offices as required to meet students’ and BSB needs.
• Assist in maintaining the Learning Objectives and related assessments for the BSB, for each program, and for each course offered by the BSB.
• Assist the BSB in connecting with external businesses and organizations for the creation and organization of special events and student projects.
• Coordinate student employment for the BSB.
• Coordinate prospective student visits with faculty in the BSB.

• Bachelor’s degree is required.

• At least three years of relevant work experience
• Experience with traditional and non-traditional enrollment and programing
• An understanding and appreciation of Christian higher education.
• Willing to work flexible hours, as needed
• Each week is comprised of 37.5 hours.
• Typically, this is Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a one hour (unpaid) lunch.
