We are seeking a Risk Management SME to join a team supporting BICES


Be able to provide support including: 


Serves as a top level technical or functional expert, often working on multiple projects and programs. The Contractor shall implement risk management methodology to provide an organized means of identifying, measuring, and ranking risks to the BPO, and developing, selecting, and managing options for resolving or mitigating risks. The Contractor shall implement the BPO PM approved risk management strategy for identified risk. 


  • Serves as a top level technical or functional expert supporting one or more clients and unlimited user groups. 
  • Performs highly specialized technical tasks associated with cutting-edge technologies. 
  • Works with user groups to solve business problems with available technology including hardware, software, databases, and peripherals. 
  • Applies expert functional knowledge and experience to significant business projects or processes. 
  • May perform business development activities, including providing technical input to proposal efforts. 
  • Provides guidance and training to less experienced staff. 
  • May serve as a technical task or project leader. 
  • May have supervisory responsibilities. 
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant developments in area of expertise. 
  • Participates in special projects as required. 
  • Must possess and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance. (or adjust to what clearance level is required) 
  • Must meet DoD 8570 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access upon hire for positions with elevated privileges and must obtain ITIL V3 Foundation within six months of hire. 
  • Depending on job assignment, additional specific certifications may be required. 
  • This position may be required to complete short-term deployments to austere locations worldwide 
  • The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment. 
  • Identifies and collects candidate risks and then classifies and assesses for potential impact and probability that are used to determine a risk priority. 
  • An organized means of identifying, measuring, and ranking risks in coordination with the BPO for developing, selecting, and managing options to resolve or mitigate risks.

  • As appropriate, identify and document technical, cost, and schedule risk factors, as well as providing recommendations and courses of action to those issues 
  • Identify, describe, and alert the BPO PM to risks and suggest means to avoid or mitigate the attendant risks. 
  • Implement a strategy to minimize risk to the continued and effective operations and deployments. 
  • Assist the BPO by providing recommendations on topics to include Requirement priorities, Vulnerability concerns, Cost effective solutions, Short-term and long-term effects and benefits, Resources utilization, and other Risk concerns. 
  • Confer directly with US BICES technical experts in Cybersecurity, Logistics, Networking, Systems, and Knowledge Management and other Functional areas as needed to develop detailed management plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports in specified formats. Analyze these outputs to find gaps, determines problem solutions, and communicates applicable risk findings to risk management. 
  • Complete assigned tasks per the BPO PM-approved mitigation strategy for any accepted risks. 
  • Update the status of existing and new risks for inclusion in the Status Report and, depending upon the agenda, the In-Progress Review (IPR) presentations 


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • Experience 
  • 10-15 Years of experience in area of expertise.
