The Intern position is responsible for supporting the Merchants Bank of Indiana team with a variety of project-based, administrative work. This position and associated project assignments will support the Company’s ongoing Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) activities and will be located at our Carmel Corporate Headquarters. Project assignments may include business process reviews, documentation of risks and controls in an assigned area (flowcharting, narratives), and deployment of ERM software technology. Interaction with the business lines and functional units allows for successful collaboration.
Expected Outcomes: A successful intern will apply knowledge gained from coursework in a real-world professional setting and end the internship with a better understanding of workplace responsibilities and dynamics.
• Ability to take instructions, ask clarifying questions and use good judgment in executing instructions.
• Ability to use common computer software and operating systems including Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work in a professional manner including communication, confidentiality, personal conduct and general work ethic.
• Ability to successfully communicate in both verbal and written forms.
• Accounting, Finance, and/or Economics majors and/or minors preferred.
