IT Support Technician - Full Time

The IT Support Technician provides technical assistance, answers questions, or resolves computer problems in person, via telephone, or electronically. This position responds to Help Desk tickets and provides assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems. The IT Support Technician encodes, publishes, tests, and reports streaming media content; as well as consults with leaders on creative projects and manages executions from concept through production and delivery. This position maintains the integrity of webcast published content to ensure performance, branding, and quality of audio/video while conforming to established standards. He/She must be organized, technically minded, energetic, enthusiastic, take initiative, work effectively with others and be able to prioritize multiple competing tasks in a timely and professional manner. He/She serves with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes Harvest’s mission, culture, and values. 



  • Report equipment problems and ensure that required repairs are made in a timely manner.
  •  Troubleshoot desktop problems, remote system connections, software, and/or equipment errors. Analyze information, evaluate results, and investigate problems to choose the best solution to solve technical issues.
  •  Monitor Help Desk tickets, follow up on and/or report aged calls to ensure a timely response.
  •  Consult with users, conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems, or to provide technical assistance and support.
  •  Confer with supervisor to prioritize needs, resolve conflicts and develop solutions.
  •  Train users in equipment/software operation.
  •  Prepare and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
  •  Oversee the daily performance of computer systems.
  •  Install, configure, and test hardware and/or software;   research, evaluate and test hardware and software products and systems solutions.
  •  Perform preventative maintenance and repair hardware;   refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service.
  •  Coordinate equipment deliveries, software licensing compliance, and inventory/asset control.
  •  Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
  •  Perform security administration by maintaining tables,   and adding, purging, and migrating users.
  •  Keep up-to-date with new technology and equipment;   maintain a current understanding of technologies or programming practices through continuing education, reading, or participation in professional conferences, workshops, or groups.
  •  Build and develop constructive/cooperative working relationships with others.
  •  Represent Harvest in a professional and positive manner to staff and external sources.
