Toyon is seeking candidates who have a strong understanding of probability, estimation and filtering techniques, and an understanding of control systems design. The position will involve the development of filters and estimators for navigation systems, including vision-aided and RF-aided systems, as well as RF systems in general. Familiarity and an interest in RF signal analysis and signal identification, possibly using machine learning techniques is highly desirable but not necessary. Systems will include front-end sensors (RF, EO/IR, Acoustic, Inertial, etc.) and back-end processing including mixtures of FPGA, DSP, and other embedded processors. Ongoing efforts bring together a range of technologies in the areas of hardware and software engineering as well as algorithm design. Toyon is seeking candidates with at least a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics. Theoretical and/or hands-on experience should include some or all of the following:
- Linear Systems
- Stochastic Systems
- Estimation and Filtering
- Control Systems
- Signal Processing
- Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence
U.S. Citizenship Required. Ability to qualify for a US Department of Defense security clearance required.
