Member Services Representative
Description

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is seeking a motivated individual to join our Membership Team as a full-time Member Services Representative. This team is in charge of recruitment and retention activities and programs for the Academy’s membership base and is the front line of communications with members and customers. Primary responsibilities for this role will include: 


Responsibilities:

  • Advising customers/members on all aspects of membership and benefits including qualifications for membership categories, application processing, affiliate (state) and specialty group memberships.
  • Develops and maintains Academy-wide knowledge base and coordinates overall customer response to inquiries related to Academy programs, products and services.
  • Review of Academy web sites including program specific platforms and business information to inform and respond to incoming inquiries and improve/streamline related processes and communications. 
  • Using the association management system and related platforms, build database records, membership, product and      subscription orders.
  • Research discrepancies related to Academy membership, programs, products and service and collaborate with staff from other teams to correct discrepancies to effectively meet customer/member expectations. Independently develops written responses to member inquiries regarding membership and application status, product orders, subscriptions, member benefit programs and other issues.
Requirements
  • Ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills and be able to work well under pressure.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills desirable.
  • Team player with ability to collaborate and adjust responsibilities based upon emerging needs or situations.
  • Experience in a non-profit membership department is highly desirable. 
  • Associates degree preferred plus 1 or more years’ experience in membership or marketing related activities required.
  • Must have strong computer skills in Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to learn NetForum association management database software and various program platforms.
