Job Description

The BASS Professional Training Program is seeking per diem, part-time and full-time medical assistant candidates. This training program will be a three week program consisting of compliances trainings, EPIC courses and hands-on training in our Urgent Care Facility. This program is ideal for a person working in a fast-paced environment, where multi-tasking skills are required. This position will consist of both front and back office.


During the two-week program, students will receive the following trainings:

· EPIC Training

· Compliance Training (HIPPA, OSHA, Harassments)

· BASS Policies and Procedures

· Hands on Training in BASS Urgent Care


Once the program is completed, students will either be placed in permanent or temporary positions across the East Bay and Central Valley. The purpose of the program is to supply our practices' with fully trained support staff while setting our trainees up for success in the workplace. 


Job Responsibilities (once placed):

· Vitals

· Entry data to EHR

· Answering multi-line phones

· Scheduling office visits

· Endoscopies

· Colonoscopies and imaging studies

· Responding to patient calls (Lab results, medication refills, etc.)

· Obtaining prior authorizations for medication, procedures, medical records

· Scanning and faxing


Requirements

  

Mandatory Qualifications:

· Certified Medical Assistant

· Knowledge in Medical Terminology

· Strong computer skills

· Excellent Verbal and Written skills

· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment 


Preferred Qualifications:

· 1+ years’ experience as a Medical Assistant 

· Electronic Health Records experience (EPIC)


Requirements:

 ·  HS Diploma

 ·  Medical Assistant Certificate

 ·  3 Professional References


Job Type:

· Per Diem during training

· Per Diem, Part-Time or Full-Time placement once training is complete


Compensation:

 ·  Minimum wage during two-week training period ($15.00/hr)

 ·  Wage increase when placed
