Description

 Performs responsible and confidential administrative duties for the Director of Development and Manager of Development. 


DUTIES

Essential Functions: Performs duties in support of the Director of Development and Manager of Development.

  • Assists with all aspects of development as appropriate.
  • Files and scans proposals and gift agreements.
  • Prepares recognition pieces for Endowed Century Club and Aggie Ring Scholarship donors.
  • Maintains Endowed Century Club and Aggie Ring Scholarship database checklists.
  • Maintains Endowed Century Club inventory.
  • Answers letters and routes mail not requiring the Vice President’s or Development Assistant’s attention.
  • Answers and screens calls, and makes appointments as needed and when available.
  • Performs administrative duties as needed.
  • Assists with preparations for board meetings, prospective donor visits, donor recognition and events.
  • Provides strong customer service, organizational skills, and discretion.
  • Coordinates attendance of potential donors and donors at Association and Texas A&M University events and updates database with contact reports.
  • Provides office support for special events as needed, including luncheons, dinners, baseball games and football games.


Participates and provides input on various Association-wide activities, which may include:  

  • Actively contributing to efforts to achieve donor growth goal.
  • Providing on-site event support for pre-game receptions during football season, baseball games and events.
  • Participation on internal event and task committees.
  • Participation in Association events including, but not limited to, All-Aggie Grad Party, Ring Delivery, Reunions, and Game Day events, as needed.
  • Represents The Association as needed at events.


Serves as an ambassador for The Association by meeting Team Expectations; supporting The Association’s fundraising, branding, and communications efforts; and fostering relationships with former students, current students, parents, faculty, staff and friends of Texas A&M. Occasional other duties as assigned

Requirements

EDUCATION

Required: High School graduate. 

Preferred: Current student at Texas A&M University pursuing Bachelor’s Degree.


EXPERIENCE

Required: Microsoft Word and Excel.

Preferred: Microsoft Office Suite.


SKILLS

Required: Strong attention to detail. Working knowledge of standard office equipment. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Ability to work on a team. Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Required: Ability to operate a keyboard. Frequent use of a computer. Able to lift 30 pounds. Ability to drive a vehicle.


OTHER

Required: Valid driver’s license.
