Pay Tier: 2

Compensation: $15/hour

Under the general direction of the Ticketing & Sales Manager and Asst. Ticketing and Sales Manager, the Ticket Specialist is responsible for general ticket office operations and ticketing transactions. Weekends, mornings, evenings, and holidays required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Patron Service and Experience:

  • Ensuring that patrons and community members have an exceptional, welcoming, and inclusive experience when attending or interacting with Trinity Rep
  • Provide a high level, concierge-style of customer service to patrons and visitors for:
  • In-bound and out-bound subscription and ticket sales and service
  • In-bound and out-bound group and school sales and service
  • General informational calls

Ticketing and Sales:

  • Processing and fulfilling ticket sales in through various communication channels
  • Assisting patrons with ticket exchanges and other requests
  • Working will-call for performances

General Ticket Office Operations:

  • Responding to mail and email inquiries
  • Database cleanup
  • Assist in the preparation for mass ticket mailings

Experience/Education: One or more years of professional experience and/or training in customer service, business, operations, or management; strong administrative and organizational skills; interest and/or involvement in an arts related enterprise; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, patrons, and the general public in writing, by telephone, and through face-to-face conversation.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a prolonged period.
  • May be tasked to ascend/descend steps, ladders, and scaffolding.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of customer relationship management software (Salesforce or PatronManager preferred); internet software; word processing software; and strong knowledge of spreadsheet software.
