Senior Copywriter (Direct Marketing)

Franklin Madison is seeking a qualified Senior Copywriter to join our Marketing Development team. The Senior Copywriter will play a key role partnering with marketing strategy teams on concept development and creation of innovative new ideas across products and distribution channels.  The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of measurable success.  



  • Initiate and execute creative concepts for marketing our insurance products directly to customers across direct mail and digital media to achieve profitability measured by response, revenue and cost
  • Collaborate with copy/design team to create copy that acquires and upsells policyholders through direct mail solicitation, lead generation, push-to- website emails, social media, banners and online product promotions  
  • Integrate brand standards and customized content for our affinity clients (including leading financial institutions, retails and associations) and marketing partners 
  • Apply legal and regulatory requirements to gain internal and external approvals for ethical and effective marketing materials
  • Effectively manage multiple simultaneous projects, task, and topics throughout the day and meet all deadlines
  • Actively participate in brainstorming sessions to generate ideas, research content and develop clear, concise, compelling copy based on agreed upon strategy and concepts
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • 5 or more years of experience in direct marketing through integrated mail and digital media, with proven measurable success in translating creative concepts and techniques into profitable revenue-generating campaigns
  • Background in results-driven direct marketing of services preferred- such as insurance, financial services, or other customer relationships that drive ongoing engagement and revenue
  • Strong Mac computer skills with experience in Mac Microsoft Word or similar program
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail
