Provide management and technical support for:
Supports design, development and execution of Force Generation (Fg) advanced phase training exercises and assessments for Commander, Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) Echelon III, IV and V commands, and other fleet training evolutions; and Force Development (Fd) concept and tactics development and evaluation exercises. Training and exercises will maximize the training unit(s)’ ability to effectively coordinate the warfighting functions: command and control, maneuver, fires, intelligence, logistics, and force protection, and execute its combat mission across the range of military operations related to NECF operations. Provide support for Navy live, virtual, constructive (LVC) and simulation training development and execution at the tactical and operational levels. The training and assessment audience includes all NECC Echelon III, IV, and V active and reserve component forces (Naval Construction Groups, Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Groups, Maritime Expeditionary Security Groups, Navy Expeditionary Intelligence Teams, and Navy Expeditionary Combat Task Force staffs). The exercise and assessment end-state is the training audience’s demonstration of operational staff planning, and command and control Navy Mission Essential Tasks (NMET) capabilities/proficiencies during an integrated/advance exercise. Exercises may be NECC controlled or non-NECC controlled exercises -- Fleet, Joint and/or Coalition/Multi-National exercises.
Military/Navy Community Experience: Requires a minimum of eight (8) years of recent (within the last ten years) of US military active service experience in military logistics planning operations for the deployment and employment of ground combat, aviation, supporting arms, and/or combat service support units and related equipment. Requires a thorough and practical understanding of Theater and JTF logistics processes. Requires a general understanding of Maritime Prepositioning Force (MPF), sea-basing concepts, and amphibious operations as they apply to NECC Forces. Minimum three years demonstrated knowledge of military doctrine, tactics, and command relationships at the operational command level as measured by actual operational force employment experience. Direct participation in real world operations is desired. Has participated in the deployment and/or employment of NECC type forces or equivalent type forces.
Shall have experience / familiarization in at least one or more of the following NECC type-unit warfare missions, functions and capabilities:
Completion of a bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, management or other relevant field required.
Must be able to obtain/maintain a SECRET security clearance.
