Delta Dental of Iowa is looking for two exceptional candidates to fill Marketing Communication Internship roles. The program participants will support the Marketing Communications department in coordinating all aspects of marketing project activities; including assisting in the execution of projects and ensuring deadlines are met. Multiple project opportunities are available and will be assigned depending on candidate background and interest. Potential opportunities include communications, graphic design, digital and email marketing, event management, social media, digital analytic analysis and copywriting. The position will expose candidates to a wide range of marketing processes that support internal functions in the insurance environment, including practical work experience relating to the candidate’s interest and skill set. For a final project, the internship participants will create and present a presentation on the work completed over the summer, or a special project of their choice to share out to leadership.

1. Must be able to demonstrate current 3.0 GPA or higher through transcripts.
2. Participants must be registered as a student to a college or university for the 2019 fall session.
3. Coursework in marketing, design, communications, business, statistics, research, marketing, mathematics, journalism or related field is required.
4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required.
5. Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including reports and presentations.
7. Travel and overnight stay may be required.
8. Must have car, related insurance and valid unencumbered driver’s license. 
9. Must be Jr. or Sr. undergraduate student working toward Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Graphic Design or related field, or Graduate student working toward MBA or related degree.
