Description

Assist in the installation of Video Surveillance, Access Control Systems, Security Alarm Systems, Video Management Systems, etc.


  

Essential Duties 

  • Install low voltage systems, infrastructure, and equipment in commercial/industrial sites in a neat and workmanlike manner.
  • Perform all cable pulling, suspension, fireproofing, terminating, and testing in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other local regulations
  • Test all systems and equipment to ensure performance of system
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, and product manuals to properly program and verify new systems
  • Assist with the wiring, mounting, configuration, and setup of electronic security installations (Video Surveillance, Access Control Systems, Security Alarm Systems, Video Management Systems, etc.)
  • Service access control, video surveillance, security alarm and other security related low voltage systems
  • Ensure all schedules and deadlines are met.
Requirements
  • Security Alarm experience
  • Network Design and Network troubleshooting skills
  • Basic Programming logic
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Analog and IP video knowledge
  • Access control experience and door hardware experience
  • Knowledge of applicable NEC OSHA requirements and standards (will train)
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent


Preferred but not required

  • BICSI Certification (preferred) or thorough understanding of BICSI Level III Technician requirements and qualifications
  • Power limited technician license (PLT)
  • Ability to travel.
  • Basic knowledge of network design and IP Communications
