Essentia is seeking an experienced Network Planner to lead the strategic planning and implementation of Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) greenfield networks. This role will coordinate with internal engineering staff to create schematics within customer design parameters. Ideal candidates have experience working in high-growth environments. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading the planning of FTTH networks to align with customers’ strategic goals while accounting for capacity tracking, type of electronics, and fiber count.
• Creating feasibility designs for project areas.
• Completing data preparation.
• Generating High-Level Design (HDL) and Low-Level Design.
• Conveying complex technical topics into layman terms while under time constraints.
• Meeting deadlines, tracking activities, and managing time in accordance with priorities.
• Working seamlessly with Senior Leadership and cross-functional teams.

• 5+ years of experience in planning large fiber networks utilizing a diverse set of technologies and vendors.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics or Math).
• Knowledge of telecommunications network design, including industry practices, policies, programs, and standards.
• Experience with GIS-based mapping systems, including ESRI and Google Earth.
• Familiarity working with AutoCAD, ADTRAN, and Calyx equipment.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities at one time while meeting deadlines.
• Outstanding communication (both written and verbal) and customer service skills.
