As a Server at A-Basin, you are responsible for taking guests’ orders and serving food and beverage items to tables in accordance with guests’ preference and A-Basin’s operating procedures to ensure the best guest experience possible.

This role also includes dealing with guest complaints, opening and closing side work, as well as ensuring continued cleanliness of the restaurant.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Interact in a professional, friendly, and timely manner with a variety of guests; anticipate guests’ needs and extend hospitality to all
  • Service guests in a table-service environment in accordance with A-Basin’s service standards
  • Work as part of a team to ensure the best service in the restaurant is provided
  • Follow F&B cash-handling policies including transaction and change-making procedures; be responsible for accurate cash drops
  • Maintain a clean and presentable restaurant at all times and complete weekly cleaning tasks in a timely manner
  • Complete opening and closing procedures (side work) according to manager's instruction
  • Make sure all areas are stocked with supplies; notify any product or equipment needs in accordance to F&B procedures
  • Help maintain a bussing station that includes landfill trash, recycling, and compost; help educate our guests about A-Basin’s Sustainability Policies
  • Help out with any F&B roll as per manager's instruction
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • TIPS certification – preferred

Experience Requirements:

  • Previous food service experience - preferred

Skills Required:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Ability to keep focus in a crowded setting
  • Strong organizational skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to withstand high-altitude conditions at all times
  • Ability to stand, walk, and navigate stairs throughout an 8-hour shift
  • Ability to use full range of body motion and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, twist, kneel, squat, crawl, push, pull, and throw

Other Requirements:

  • Must be available weekends and holidays

Work Environment:

  • This position works in a table-service/restaurant environment with most time spent working indoors in a high-altitude environment. Some work outside in a cold and snowy environment is possible on any given day. Most work is performed in a highly trafficked area in view of guests. A very frequent amount of high-volume guest interaction is involved in this role.
