Description

CTS Health Services is a community mental health services center that specializes in a holistic approach to health and wellness for children, parents, and adults of varying circumstances and mental challenges. We provide one-on-one behavioral interventions for our clients and their support circles to help our clients navigate through life within their community at their highest level.


For the caseworker position, we are urgently seeking passionate, authentic, and motivated individuals to provide one-on-one behavioral interventions with children, youth and/or adults receiving specialty mental health services in the client's home/residential placement/school or during community outings.


*Bilingual in Spanish or Polish highly desired


Responsibilities of the caseworker:

  • Participating in the person-centered planning process.
  • Providing direct home-based behavioral health services and supports, including supporting therapeutic interventions for the family.
  • Providing direct services for the family as indicated in the Person-Centered Plan.
  • Assisting the team leader in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions as evidenced by symptom reduction and progress toward goals.
  • Assisting the team leader with consulting identified non-medical providers, engaging community and natural supports and including their input in the person-center/ed planning process.
  • Ensure that all information obtained while at Carolina Therapeutic Services is kept confidential and will remain confidential beyond employment.
  • Ensure all trainings are updated annually.
  • Responsible for ensuring services are provided in a manner, which meets all applicable regulatory licensure and accrediting regulations.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary staffing.
  • Attends all appropriate in-services, workshops, or continuing education programs.
  • Responsible for keeping client medical record charts and their own personnel file information up to date in a timely manner.
  • Work to ensure mental health outreach, education, and prevention in the community.
  • Responsible for appropriate intake, assessments, and orientation.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality according to all Federal and State guidelines and requirements.
  • Exemplifies personal and professional conduct.

  • Maintains a cooperative relationship with employees, medical staff and others.
  • Adheres to and supports facility policies, programs and activities.
  • Demonstrates tact, courtesy, and a positive approach to communication and interaction with other employees, visitors, physicians, etc.
  • Responsible for personal development to ensure current knowledge in the profession, Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and drug free environment.
  • Willingness to work beyond what is required periodically and travel for continuing education hours.
  • Maintain service notation that meets agency notation standards, Medicaid standards, and/or any other auditing agency such as the LME. (For timeliness, quality, and completeness). This notation must include: I) the purpose of contact; 2) describes the provider's interventions; 3) effectiveness of the intervention; 4) the time spent performing the intervention; and 5) signature (degree/credentials or position) of person providing service.
  • Must be available in the on-call rotation for 24/7- 365 days per year first responder coverage.
  • Must maintain the flexibility to respond to client needs and crisis situations beyond the agencies normal working hours.
  • Deliver services in various environments, such as homes, schools, jails (for state funds only), homeless shelters, etc.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as specified by a supervisor.
Requirements

Education Requirements to qualify as a caseworker:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human service field with less than one year of full-time education.
  • Post-graduate degree accumulated mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse (MH/DD/SA) experience with the population served.
  • One year of documented experience in the delivery of Behavioral Health treatment to children and / or adolescents.
  • Substance abuse professional with less than one year of full-time education and accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling.
  • High School diploma with 5 years experience working in the mental health capacity
