The ideal candidate is a creative marketing professional with a strong writing background, excellent story-telling skills, and relevant experience developing content that appeals to B2B audiences. You will have a working knowledge of SEO, so that content you develop is optimized for search terms that lead prospective clients to raise their hand to speak with our sales staff.

Your work will support scalable, performance-driven campaigns that engage, educate and service our clients and prospects.

The Content Marketing Manager will have a keen sense of what types of messages, stories, conversations, and engagement models make sense with different audiences, roles, and levels.

 
 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop a content marketing strategy that drives communication, brand awareness, sales enablement, lead generation, client engagement, sales, and client retention
  • Collaborate across functions to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial calendar to meet the business objectives
  • Conduct in-depth research on industry-related topics in order to develop original content.
  • Develop content for blogs, articles, product descriptions, social media, videos, whitepapers, emails and the company website.
  • Assist the marketing team in developing content for advertising campaigns.
  • Proofread content for errors and inconsistencies.
  • Edit and polish existing content to improve readability.
  • Conceptualize, write, and produce compelling and relevant content that drives thought leadership through both print and digital channels.
  • Create compelling headlines and body copy that will capture the attention of the target audience.
  • Identify clients’ needs and recommend new content to address gaps in the company's current content.


Requirements

Minimum Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (BA or BSc) in Marketing, Communications, or similar from an accredited college or university plus a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the related field preferred; alternatively, a high school diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of four (4) years of experience in the related field. 1-3 years of B2B communications and content marketing experience, including strong strategic planning and content development for both sales and marketing.   


  • 3-5 years of experience with 1-3 years of B2B communications and content marketing experience, including strong strategic planning and copywriting for both sales and marketing.
  • Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and express them clearly; superior written and verbal communications skills
  • Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what types of content audiences consume, and how to create it
  • Proven content writing or copywriting experience.
  • Working knowledge of content management systems.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • A portfolio of published articles.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Effective communication skills.
