Job duties include but are not limited to: Set up and operate manual machines such as drill presses, radial arm drills, mills, lathes, grinders, saws or specialty machines. Backup operator for CNC mills and CNC lathes. Set up and operate standard machine shop measuring tools. Retrieve and set up fixturing as required. Read blueprints and follow written or verbal work instructions. Complete required paperwork relating to job assignments. Work to rates set as standard production goals. Lift up to 50 lbs. as required.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
1. Possess a technical school diploma, equivalent military training or occupational history in one of the following direct/related disciplines: Machine Tooling.
2. Must be proficient in the set up and operation of various manual machines such as drill presses, vertical & horizontal mills, engine & turret lathes, universal & horizontal grinders, and/or saws.
3. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and troubleshoot with limited or no support.
4. Demonstrate competency with the required tool set used to complete the basic essential functions of the position
Written and/or machine proficiency tests will be used to determine a bidder’s qualifications for the job.
