At Swedish Institute, the Admissions Representative serves as a key member of the enrollment team and is responsible for recruiting, interviewing, advising, and enrolling prospective students into career-focused educational programs. This role guides students through the admissions process from inquiry through enrollment while ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulatory standards.
The Admissions Representative is expected to build strong relationships with prospective students, understand their educational and career goals, and provide accurate and ethical guidance regarding academic programs, career opportunities, financial obligations, and student support services. This position requires strong communication skills, consultative sales ability, persistence, organization, and a passion for helping students achieve their goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Student Recruitment & Enrollment
- Conduct outbound prospecting activities through phone calls, text messaging, email communication, appointments, events, and follow-up with all inquiries.
- Interview prospective students to evaluate career goals, interests, educational background, motivation, and program fit.
- Guide prospective students through the admissions process from initial inquiry through enrollment and orientation.
- Present program information, career outcomes, tuition, schedules, and student support services in a factual, ethical, and compliant manner.
- Pre-qualify applicants based on institutional admissions criteria and program eligibility requirements.
- Assist students with enrollment paperwork, admissions documentation, and onboarding requirements.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all student interactions and activities within the institution’s CRM and student information systems.
- Consistently meet individual and team performance goals related to interviews, enrollments, starts, retention, and student engagement.
Student Support & Retention
- Remain actively engaged with students throughout their educational journey to support retention and successful program completion.
- Collaborate with Financial Aid, Academics, Registrar, Career Services, and Student Services departments to ensure a seamless student experience.
- Identify and proactively address student concerns or barriers that may impact persistence or success.
- Assist students in navigating institutional processes and connecting them with appropriate campus resources.
Compliance & Professional Standards
- Uphold all institutional policies, accreditation standards, admissions regulations, and ethical enrollment practices.
- Ensure all admissions activities are conducted in compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
- Accurately document student interactions, admissions decisions, and enrollment activities.
- Participate in ongoing training related to admissions practices, compliance requirements, student engagement, and retention strategies.
Community Outreach & Relationship Building
- Represent the college at community events, career fairs, open houses, information sessions, and recruitment activities.
- Build relationships within the community to promote awareness of the college and its educational programs.
- Support campus events, orientation programs, and institutional initiatives designed to enhance enrollment and student engagement.
Team Collaboration & Special Projects
- Partner with cross-functional departments to deliver a high level of student service and operational excellence.
- Participate in team meetings, strategy discussions, and professional development activities.
- Contribute ideas and solutions to improve enrollment processes, student experience, and departmental performance.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in Admissions, Enrollment Management, Higher Education, Student Services, Sales, or a related field preferred.
- Strong consultative communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work in a goal-driven, fast-paced environment while maintaining a student-centered approach.
- Excellent organization, time management, and multitasking abilities.

- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and student information systems preferred.
