New Horizons is the largest mental health and addiction recovery provider on the Treasure Coast (and beyond), serving 15,000 children and adults annually through inpatient crisis services, 24-hour help line and mobile response team, and outpatient programs conveniently located across Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and St. Lucie counties. New Horizons is seeking a caring and compassionate Staff Assistant for our Student Assistance Programs in the schools in our community. The staff assistant will be a self starter, organized and a team player.  This position will assists the Team Leader of Prevention Operations and the Team Leader of School & Community Relations with day-to-day administrative functions, program documentation, grant reporting support, and data entry into the Performance Based Prevention System (PBPS) and other electronic platforms used by the program. 

As a Staff Assistant, your responsibilities include:

•  Opens, sorts, reviews and distributes incoming mail; routes outgoing mail. 
•  Maintains adequate supply of program forms and other record keeping documents. 
•  Answers telephone, takes messages and communicates messages to the appropriate person.
•  Supports data entry and documentation for the Student Assistance Program. 
•  Assists Team Leaders with the compilation and organization of documentation needed for grant reporting purposes. 
•  Provides direct administrative support to Team Leaders. 

Requirements

New Horizons will need you to have the following qualifications:

• High school Diploma or equivalent
• Four (4) years’ clerical experience
• Keyboarding 55 wpm
