Description
Position Summary:
The Training Specialist, under the direction of the Safety & Compliance Manager, is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs within the company.
Essential Functions:
- Works closely with employees and managers to enhance skills, improve performance, and foster professional development.
- Collects feedback, adapts content, and contributes to program design.
- Conduct engaging workshops and training sessions for employees and managers.
- Assess individual and group performance results to evaluate the impact of training programs.
- Collaborates with the training team to enhance existing programs and create new ones.
- Creates comprehensive lesson plans, training materials, and visual aids.
- Ensures new drivers and helpers acquire necessary skills for safe and efficient route completion.
- Provide hands-on training and constructive feedback.
- Monitor compliance with safety rules, regulations, and company expectations.
- Conducts audits to ensure drivers operate vehicles in accordance with OSHA and FMCSA requirements.
- Conducts quality field observations, inspects documents, assesses vehicle conditions, and evaluates overall employee performance.
- Keep training content up to date by researching and implementing new approaches.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Possess a valid Class A or B Driver’s License, required
- 2 years of professional commercial driving experience, preferred
- 2 or more years of training experience, preferred
- Bilingual, preferred
Working Conditions
This position will be based mixed between and indoor and an outdoor environment, exposed to the elements, with extended periods of standing, sitting, squatting, climbing, reaching, and lifting.
