SHINE Technologies is immediately seeking a Lead Ion Implant Operator to perform production of isotopes used in various medical and cancer treatments. The Lead Ion Implant Operator will supervise shift operations, develop operational protocols and procedures, and work closely with Engineering to facilitate continuous improvement. This role also includes operating first-of-a-kind particle accelerator systems and processing produced material. Additionally, the Lead will work closely with the Operations manager to implement production goals, track production statuses, and resolve production issues as they arise.

Pay:
- Starting wage of $23 per hour
- Lead premium of $3 per hour
- 2nd shift premium of $2 per hour
- 3rd shift premium of $3 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities:
Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure production operations are efficient and product meet company standards
- Mentor and train new personnel with an emphasis on occupational health and safety
- Plan, organize, and implement production cost reduction and/or product quality improvements
- Schedule operating staff according to production demands.
- Perform system operation including:
- Powering up, monitoring, and manipulating system controls
- Monitoring steady state operations
- Post-processing of system output materials including:
- Complete system maintenance at designated intervals
- Assembly/disassembly of system
- Perform preventative maintenance including:
- Replacing consumable parts and system maintenance at designated intervals
- Assembly/disassembly of system
- Assist with and execute technology improvements on first-of-a-kind particle accelerator system
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting in alignment with SHINE’s company values
- Assist other SHINE projects and departments as necessary
- Overtime may be needed to support production demands
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards. Possible hazards include heavy metals, or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
- Moderate physical activity. Occasionally lifts, carries, or otherwise moves items up to 40 pounds. Standing and/or walking for extended periods.
Required Qualifications:
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Five or more years’ experience in an industrial setting
- Capability to lead and mentor others
- Forward thinking – drive to continuously improve
- Desire to learn and understand new technology and technical processes
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience coordinating within team and across company functions to execute work and solve problems
- Ability to work both independently and within team environments
- Proficiency with Windows 10 or newer operating systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to work safely within an industrial and radiation environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Technician or related discipline
- Experience in a lead production role
- Knowledge of ISO quality standards
- Experience in a GMP environment
- Ability to read engineering drawings or schematics
- Experience in laboratory operations, equipment and instrumentation
