SHINE Technologies is immediately seeking an Ion Implant Operator to perform production of isotopes used in various medical and cancer treatments. The Ion Implant Operator will operate first-of-a-kind particle accelerator systems. Pay:
- Starting rate of $23 per hour
- 2nd shift premium of $2 per hour
- 3rd shift premium of $3 per hour
Shifts:
- 1st shift = 6:00am - 2:30pm
- 2nd shift = 2:00am - 10:30pm
- 3rd shift = 10:00pm - 6:30am
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform system operation including:
- o Powering up, monitoring, and manipulating system controls
- o Monitoring steady state operations
- Post-processing of system output materials including:
- o Working in a controlled environment
- o Executing precise measurements and data collection
- Perform preventative maintenance including:
- o Replacing consumable parts
- o Complete system maintenance at designated intervals
- o Assembly/disassembly of system
- Assist with and execute limited testing of technology improvements on first-of-a-kind particle accelerator system
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting in alignment with SHINE’s company values
- Assist other SHINE projects and departments as necessary
- Overtime may be needed to support production demands
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards. Possible hazards include heavy metals, or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
- Moderate physical activity. Occasionally lifts, carries, or otherwise moves items up to 40 pounds. Standing and/or walking for extended periods.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years’ experience in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to work safely within an industrial and radiation environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Desire to learn and understand new technology and technical processes
- Effective use of written and verbal skills to communicate routine technical and non-technical information
- Ability to follow written procedures and accurately record test data
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings or schematics
- Experience in a laboratory setting
- Experience in an ISO quality environment
- Proficiency with Windows 10 or newer operating systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, SharePoint, etc.)
- Associate degree in Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Technician or related discipline
Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls. Additionally, applicant’s eligibility may be conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards Information, which typically requires a pre-employment drug screen, fingerprinting and criminal background check.
