By assisting with repairs, deliveries, maintenance, and projects, the General Labor role supports both daily operations and long-term facility needs. Their dependability and flexibility help ensure quality work is completed on time.

Additional Information:

  • Schedule: Full-time Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Work Environment: On-site
  • Travel Requirements: As needed to other facilities


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, push, pull, lift, and perform physical labor for extended periods. 
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. as needed. 
  • Ability to safely use tools, equipment, company vehicles, and trailers. 
  • Ability to perform hands-on maintenance, remodeling, cleanup, repair, delivery, drywall, plumbing, electrical, and general facility tasks. 


Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform general labor, maintenance, repair, cleanup, delivery, and project support tasks across all Isaiah House locations. 
  • Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and jobsites in a clean, safe, and organized condition. 
  • Support remodeling and facility projects, including basic drywall, plumbing, electrical, and general repair work. 
  • Communicate material needs in advance, retrieve purchase orders, and help control project costs. 
  • Complete assigned work safely, efficiently, on time, and according to Isaiah House quality standards.
Requirements

 

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 
  • Previous experience in remodeling, general labor, facility maintenance, or a related field preferred. 
  • Valid driver’s license required. 
  • Strong verbal communication and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-focused environment. 
  • Dependable, punctual, proactive, and willing to learn new skills. 
  • Ability to follow company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and attend required trainings.
