At Barron, our Commercial HVAC Service Technician will:
- Support team members while consistently delivering world-class customer service
- Proficiency in reading complex wiring diagrams, using multimeters to test for live electricity, and diagnosing electrical faults in capacitors, relays, and motors.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools like pressure gauges, combustion analyzers, and thermal cameras to identify root causes of system failures.
- Hands-on experience with compressors, air handlers, and boilers, including skills like brazing copper pipes for leak-free refrigerant lines.
- Expertise in the safe recovery, recycling, and charging of refrigerants, ensuring compliance with EPA Section 608 standards
- Clearly communicate technical information to customers and internal teams, and accurately document diagnostics, repairs, and recommendations
- Manage time effectively and prioritize workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced commercial service environment
- Maintain certifications and stay updated on industry best practices and new technology
- Willingness to travel to accommodate all Barron service areas
- Stay current on Continuing Education Units (CEU’s)
- Meet and exceed individual Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- Regularly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50–75 lbs., occasionally up to 100 lbs. with assistance or equipment
- Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb ladders, and work in tight or overhead spaces
- Maintain a neat, clean and organized vehicle
- Maintain a Barron branded appearance per company policy (e.g., clean, branded uniform)
- Collaborate and build strong working relationships across all departments

Experience & Qualifications:
- 4+ years of HVAC experience (required)
- EPA 608 Technician Certification (required)
- Active and up to date 06A Electrical License or trainee card (required)
- NATE Certification (preferred but not required)
- Proficiency with boiler diagnosis and repair (preferred but not required)
- Knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and communication protocols – BACnet (preferred but not required)
- Experience working with hand tools and power tools
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Pre-employment Drug Screening
- High School Diploma or GED
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
Compensation:
- Full-Time
- $35.00 - $47.50 per hour; DOE
