Position Overview

As an Equipment Operator, you play a critical role in delivering top-tier service to our commercial clients. This position involves year-round outdoor work with seasonal responsibilities in commercial lawn maintenance and winter snow and ice management.



What You’ll Do:

  • Safely mow large commercial properties, roadways, and open areas
  • Operate and maintain trucks and equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good working condition
  • Operate heavy equipment to clear roadways, commercial parking lots, and loading areas during winter storms
  • Utilize tractors with batwing mowers, skid steer, and small excavator
  • Support critical 24/7 snow and ice management operations
  • Follow route maps, work instructions, and safety procedures
  • Perform work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, snow, wind, and rain 
  • Represent Brilar professionally at all times

Requirements

 What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience with a tractor with a batwing, mini excavator, and skid steer strongly preferred
  • Willingness to learn and operate commercial mowing equipment (zero-turn mowers, walk-behind mowers, string trimmers, backpack blowers)
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physical work, including bending, walking, and standing for extended periods  
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, snow, wind, rain)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team
  • Snow removal experience is a plus (heavy equipment operator or sidewalk crew experience)
  • Reliable, safety-focused, and positive attitude
     

Winter Availability Requirements:

  • Available to be on-call 24/7 during the winter season, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Flexible schedule during the winter months with no restrictions
  • Willing and prepared to work extended hours during snow events to complete assigned routes

  • Pass a pre-employment drug test and consent to random, reasonable suspicion, and post-incident drug testing
