Description
  • Assist with minor and major truck and trailer repairs.
  • Help mechanics perform maintenance and repairs such as oil changes, checks tires and brakes, and engage in other similar tasks.
  • Assist mechanics with electrical systems such as replacing batteries, starters, and lights.
  • Collaborate with operators and managers to diagnose problems with equipment and plan repairs.
  • Assist with regular diagnostic tests on equipment.
  • Test drives vehicles to ensure repairs are completed property.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the shop and return tools to proper location.
  • Maintain, order, and pick up parts and other shop inventory.
  • Inspects tools and equipment to ensure they are in working order.
  • Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on equipment.
  • Performs other operational duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Related experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of vehicle repair.
  • Excellent mechanical skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to use power and hand tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read service and repair manuals.
