We are seeking a motivated and dependable Assistant Mechanic / Shop Technician to support our maintenance operations. This role involves assisting with mechanical work on trucks and equipment, general shop duties, and preparing to serve as a backup LP delivery driver when needed. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and willing to grow within the company.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead mechanics with maintenance and repair of propane delivery trucks and equipment
• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and basic repairs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
• Help manage tools, parts, and shop inventory
• Support compliance with safety standards and regulations
• Train to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Serve as a backup LP delivery driver when required

Qualifications:

• Mechanical aptitude or prior experience in automotive, diesel, or equipment repair preferred
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians
• Ability to lift, carry, and work in a physically active environment
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Valid driver’s license (required)
• Ability and willingness to obtain a CDL 
• Commitment to safety and teamwork

Preferred (Not Required):

• Experience with propane systems or fuel delivery
• CDL or prior commercial driving experience
• Basic knowledge of DOT regulations
