Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the timely, accurate submission and follow-up of primary and secondary claims for commercial, federal, and self-pay lines of business in support of the Business Office and agency operating divisions. Ensures accounts receivable functions comply with CMHC He-M standards, Medicaid/Medicare regulations, payer requirements, and agency policies governing fiscal integrity, documentation, and confidentiality.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of experience in medical billing or related healthcare administrative role, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in computerized billing systems and above-average keyboarding skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including basic Excel skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) setting.
  • Knowledge of New Hampshire Medicaid and He-M standards.
  • Experience with EMR/practice management systems and electronic clearinghouse platforms.
  • Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care billing.

OSHA RATING

This position is classified as Low Risk due to primarily office-based duties with minimal exposure to clinical environments. The employee is expected to comply with all OSHA regulations and agency safety policies.
