Job Summary:

 Acts as Branch Manager of two or more branch locations. May provide management within own branch location. Sets goals and monitors performance of assigned branches. Makes policy and procedure recommendations to ensure effective operations. Does not manage other Branch Managers; but may manage Branch Supervisors. 


Primary Duties:

  1. Effectively directs and utilizes staff to accomplish growth and profit objectives for assigned branch locations.
  2. Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required. Ensure records are filed and retained for the appropriate timeframe.
  3. Provides leadership, coaching, training and supervision to branch staff.
  4. Ensures effective directions of staff, objective performance evaluations, and an equitable salary structure (in partnership with HR). 
  5. Participates in local community affairs and supports local activities.
  6. Maintains physical property and equipment checks; ensures observance of established security procedures.
  7. Attends monthly Manager’s meeting.
  8. Develop and implement strategies to meet branch sales goals, generate new business (deposits, loans, cash management), and cross-sell bank products.
  9. Ensure all branches follow corporate policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  10. Oversee daily branch functions, efficiency, and risk management.
  11. Address escalated customer complaints and operational issues.
  12. Monitor financial performance and report on regional results; provide strategic recommendations to upper management.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of customer accounts and information.
  14. May support Branch Supervisor in ensuring that all negotiable and confidential records in the work area are properly secured each day, and to oversee proper dual control operation of the branch and vaults and the processing of the contents therein.
  15. Conducts regular unannounced audits of all vault and teller cash, maintaining a written signed record of each audit, reporting any exception.
  16. Complete monthly Branch Security Checklist and alarm test.
  17. Sells and/or refers Bank's products and services to customers and prospects.
  18. Performs other tasks requested by management as they relate to the Bank and its functions. 
Requirements

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelors Degree in related field preferred.
  2. Substantial experience in retail banking operations and functions.
  3. Proven ability to manage branch banking personnel.
  4. Strong communication and leadership skills.
  5. Ability to work effectively and tactfully with all types of diverse personalities.
  6. Enhanced knowledge of the Bank’s various products, associated forms, and procedures.
  7. Working knowledge and experience on the teller line and/or CSR platform.
  8. Ability to make sound, effective judgment calls as needed and to maintain composure under pressure.
