Job Title: Custodian

 Job Hours (Shift): 2nd Shift
 

Position Summary:

The Custodian role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the manufacturing facility to support a safe, organized, and professional work environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring break areas and common spaces are clean, stocked, and maintained in compliance with safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Clean and sanitize break rooms, restrooms, and common areas throughout the facility
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners in designated areas
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors to ensure a clean and safe environment
• Wipe down tables, counters, appliances, and high-touch surfaces
• Restock paper products, soap, and other sanitation supplies
• Maintain cleaning equipment and report any maintenance or supply needs
• Follow all company safety guidelines and PPE requirements
• Ensure compliance with cleanliness, sanitation, and workplace standards
• Support general facility upkeep and additional cleaning duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred, manufacturing environment experience a plus
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures

Work Environment:
• Work is performed in a manufacturing and warehouse environment
• Frequent standing and walking for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 25 to 40 lbs as needed
• Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching required
• Exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and industrial conditions
• Required use of Personal Protective Equipment while on the shop floor
