Description

Accountabilities

  • Drive company vehicles to deliver products to customer locations.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat.
  • Always organize warehouse and work area for orderliness, including sweep and mopping
  • Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise.
  • Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in the delivery area.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards.
  • Open bales, crates and other containers.
  • Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing requests, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed manually. May also assist in counting of physical inventory.
  • Prepare material for distribution and other entities.
  • Responsible for off-loading, put-away, picking and staging of equipment and parts while providing professional quality customer service.
  • Wear the proper safety equipment.
  • Forklift operation for various tasks including the maintenance. 
  • Refuel Vehicles in accordance with vehicle specifications.
  • Perform preventative maintenance checks daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Following the best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading a truck.
  • Obtaining client or customer signatures when needed and ensuring that all documentation is properly completed at submission.
  • Meeting delivery deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED


Experience: None Required

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred


License or Certification: 

  • Valid Texas driver's license
  • Forklift certification/license preferred. 
  • Must be 21 years of age or older


Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to regularly lift up to 100 lbs with assistance and spend long amounts of time stopping, reaching, bending, climbing, standing, or walking.
  • Perform repetitive tasks
  • Working conditions vary depending on the season. Both temperature variations and inclement weather are real aspects of the work environment.

  • Basic math skills
