We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to support the accounting and financial reporting functions for multiple luxury automotive dealerships. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial statements, schedule reconciliation, and compliance across a fast-paced, multi-store environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  

Accounting Operations:

  • Assist with bank reconciliations and daily cash activity review.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and monthly adjustments. 
  • Reconcile assigned balance sheet schedules, including but not limited to: inventory, receivables, payables, prepaid expense, and other operating accounts. 
  • Review schedules for accuracy, aged items, and necessary cleanup; follow up with department leaders as needed. 
  • Assist with implementation or refinement of standardized accounting practices across stores.

Financial Reporting:

  • Assist with the month-end close process and preparation of balance sheet schedules.
  • Ensure schedules are reconciled and maintained in a timely and organized manner.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in coordination with the Controller.
  • Assist with reconciliation of key operational accounts.
  • Monitor aging reports and help resolve outstanding balances.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Accounting degree or similar experience 
  • Experience in automotive retail accounting preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

 Technical Skills:

  • Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, and VLOOKUP
  • Experience with dealership management systems such as CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Tekion, or similar is preferred
  • Comfortable working with digital reporting tools and workflow systems
Salary Description
$33 - $38 per hour DOE
