Description
At Southeastern Gastroenterology Associates the Clinical Nurse role is responsible for providing high-level clinical support and patient assessment within a fast-paced gastroenterology practice. This role serves as a primary point of contact for patient care, focusing on efficient triage and comprehensive care planning.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial patient triaging & collect clinical data and information to help providers with assessments and care planning.
- Deliver nursing care according to the patient care plan and office policies.
- Review past documents and hospital/clinical records for patient history.
- Complete patient assistance paperwork and prior authorizations for medications and complete medication refill requests.
- Manage patient and provider needs through documented telephone encounters.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Current MA certification or LPN license.
- Current BLS certification
- Proficiency in EMR systems, Excel, and web-based clinical portals.
