Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically capable Automation & AI Analyst to support the development and deployment of workflow automation, AI-enabled tools, and productivity solutions across the organization. This role will work closely with the Director of IT and business teams to identify inefficiencies, build automated workflows using Microsoft tools, and assist in implementing emerging AI capabilities that improve operational efficiency. This is a builder role ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, streamlining processes, and turning manual tasks into automated solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

Workflow Automation (Core Focus)

  • Build and maintain workflows using: 
  • Microsoft Power Automate 
  • Power Apps (basic forms and interfaces) 
  • SharePoint and Teams integrations 
  • Replace manual/email-driven processes with automated workflows 
  • Configure approvals, notifications, reminders, and escalations 
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing automations 

 

AI & Process Support

  • Assist in implementing AI-driven tools and agentic workflows under guidance from IT leadership 
  • Help automate tasks such as: 
  • Data collection and validation 
  • Report generation 
  • Document processing 
  • Support integration of AI tools into existing workflows 

 

Process Improvement

  • Work with departments to understand current processes and pain points 
  • Document workflows and identify opportunities for automation 
  • Recommend simple, practical solutions to improve efficiency 
  • Help standardize processes across teams 


Data & Reporting Support

  • Build basic dashboards and reports using Power BI 
  • Automate recurring reports and data updates 
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems 

 

User Support & Adoption

  • Train employees on new workflows and tools 
  • Provide day-to-day support for automation-related issues 
  • Create simple documentation and how-to guides 
  • Gather feedback and suggest improvements 

Position Details

  • Reports to: Director of IT 
  • Works closely with: Finance, Operations, HR, Scheduling, and other business units 
  • Focus: Execution, support, and continuous improvement (not strategic ownership)



Requirements
  • 1–4 years of experience in Business systems, IT support, operations, or process improvement 
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate and advanced Excel
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail 
  • Ability to learn new tools quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment 

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience)
  • Experience with: 
  • Power Apps or Power BI 
  • Basic understanding of APIs or system integrations 
  • Exposure to AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.) 
  • Familiarity with workflow/process mapping 
  • Light scripting experience (Python, VBA, or similar) is a plus
