We are expanding our professional arborist group and seeking a skilled and motivated Pruning Team Lead. If you are an ambitious individual with proven pruning and climbing experience and a passion for working outdoors in a team environment, we want to talk to you! This role involves leading a team, groundwork, pruning, and tree climbing.
The Pruning Team Lead is responsible for the daily production, safety, and client satisfaction of the pruning team. Key duties include:
- Leading the team in completing pruning work on client properties.
- Assisting in diagnostic sales for pruning, including add-on sales as needed.
- Directing and managing team members, driving team efficiencies, and developing their skills.
- Maintaining a high level of work quality and taking pride in the results.
- Interacting with clients daily to communicate the process, expectations, services performed, and recommendations for other Ryan services.
- Committing to continuous on-the-job and classroom training to enhance service delivery.
- Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of professional pruning experience.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to obtain DOT certification.
- Maintain a state-issued pesticide applicator license (ornamental and lawn).
- Thorough knowledge of pruning practices, arboriculture, pruning safety, and shrub maintenance standards. ISA Certified Arborist designation a plus
- Ability to work aloft at a minimum of 25 feet and demonstrate climbing proficiency.
- Proficiency with field-based software systems, Microsoft, and Google software platforms.
- General knowledge of department-specific equipment maintenance and safe operation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (internal and external).
- Ability to work outside in all weather, year-round.
