Description

Mental Health Connecticut (MHC) is a statewide not for profit provider agency that partners with individuals, their families, and the surrounding communities to create environments that support long-term health and wellness.


MHC has a part-time opening Monday - Wednesday; 12:00 am - 8:00 am (Sunday overnight into Monday Morning, Monday overnight into Tuesday morning, and Tuesday overnight into Wednesday morning) for a Residential Specialist I within the Danbury area. This position will be responsible to document and deliver services to persons in recovery in the activities outlined in their Individual Recovery Plans.


Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour. MHC is currently paying a shift differential of $1.00 per hour worked between 12:00 am - 8:00 am in addition to the hourly pay rate.

Requirements

The Residential Specialist I responsibilities include:

  • Document all activities, communications, and encounters with individuals in recovery according to service contract and MHC requirements.
  • Implement the Individual Recovery Plan (IRP). Teach and assist Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
  • Monitor and documents the self-administration of medications noting any refusal, resistance, reactions, errors, or special conditions.
  • Monitor the safety of individuals in recovery in their residences through proper supervision of the sites ensuring the maintenance of safe and healthy facilities.
  • Provide emergent program site coverage when necessary. May be mandated to remain on site or to report beyond scheduled hours to provide essential coverage.

Education and/or Experience:

  • GED or High School Diploma required.
