Position Summary

The Production Team Member is responsible for preparing, cooking, and packaging food products in a safe, efficient, and high-quality manner. This role supports daily production operations while upholding Gold Star’s commitment to food safety, quality, and teamwork.


What You’ll Do (Essential Functions)

Production & Operations

  • Assemble, operate, disassemble, clean, and inspect food processing equipment 
  • Follow standardized procedures to cook and package food products 
  • Accurately weigh ingredients using batch formulas and scales 
  • Pack finished products into pouches and cases 
  • Stack and stage finished goods for shipment 
  • Set up boxes and prepare materials for production runs 

Cleanliness & Food Safety

  • Maintain a clean and organized production environment 
  • Perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties 
  • Follow all food safety and employee safety procedures at all times

Physical & Work Environment

This is a hands-on, active role in a food production setting:

  • Lift and carry 40–60 lbs frequently and repetitively 
  • Stand for extended periods of time 
  • Bend, kneel, reach, and climb ladders as needed 
  • Work in varying conditions: 
    • Indoor production environment 
    • Coolers (approx. 40°F) 
    • Heat and humidity up to 120°F during summer months 
    • Exposure to water, cleaning chemicals, raw meat, and loud noise 
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) 

Equipment You’ll Use

Scales, grinders, kettles, mixers, pumps, conveyors, packaging machines (VFFS), chillers, tow motors, thermometers, box tapers, hand tools, and sanitation equipment.


Schedule & Pay

  • Schedule: 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM (Monday–Thursday) 
  • Average Hours: 40 hours/week 
  • Pay: $18/hour + benefits
