Reports to: Logistics Manager

Back up position: Logistics Lead

Department: 500 - Operations Administration

Work location: Evansville, IN (Plant Primary) 

Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt

 

I - Job Purpose and Summary:

  

Develop and maintain inventory processes in order to maintain adequate levels of stock to meet daily distribution demands while minimizing excess supply and write off. Stock and inventory processes to be put in place for all levels of the supply chain across Woodland and Evansville facilities and warehouses.


II - Key Accountabilities: 

  

1. HSE: Promote a safe work environment at all times through the adherence to all PGPI’s Health & Safety and Environmental policies and procedures as well as to all relevant OSHA regulations in order to achieve ZERO workplace incidents and injuries.

 

2. QA & Food Safety: Ensure compliance with rigorous standards of food safety, quality, legality, and authenticity, playing a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards throughout the entire food production process.

 

3. Oversee Inventory and supply chain management in accordance with company guidelines.

Perform critical inventory tasks to ensure correct number of items are in stock. Establish a routine of cycle counting working with site warehouse team members. Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts. Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies, trouble shoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records.

 

4. Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and cut operational   cost.

 

5. Respond to sales inquiries and purchase orders; collect and analyze data to determine appropriate stock levels. Review production schedules and requirements to ensure timely order fulfillment based on stock on hand and correction of any stock   discrepancies. Track rates of accuracy on purchases and returns, as well as defective items to inform quality control decisions.

Prepare, generate and file financial inventory reports. Review reports monthly with manager. Participate in complete inventory checks of all stock and supplies twice per year.

Requirements

Education:  Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.


Related Experience:

· 2 years in a production environment (food manufacturing preferred)

· Supply Chain

· Procurement & finance

· Fluency in English - required

· Fluency in Spanish - preferred

 

V – Work/Employment Conditions and Other Requirements: 

  

Work Environment: The role is largely office based, with frequent interactions with colleagues both in the office and factory environment. This role will be exposed to allergens including gluten & soy. This role will be exposed to Neodymium magnets.
