NOVA is seeking a motivated and organized HR & Talent Specialist to support and strengthen our workforce within our residential program serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). What You’ll Do:
- Lead recruiting efforts, including job postings, applicant screening, and interview coordination
- Support onboarding, background checks, and new hire processes
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee records (ICF-IID, DHSR, CARF standards)
- Assist with employee benefits and HR processes
- Support supervisors with employee relations, documentation, and HR guidance
- Track and coordinate staff training and compliance requirements
- Monitor employee engagement and workplace morale; share insights and recommend improvements
- Support audits, surveys, and regulatory compliance efforts
This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working both independently and collaboratively.
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in human resources, recruiting, or administrative support
- Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or IDD services preferred
- Knowledge of employment laws, HR practices, and personnel processes preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and support multiple departments
- Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (Paylocity or similar) preferred
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Psychology, or a related field preferred
- Relevant experience may substitute for education
