JOB MISSION

Pacific Lifestyle Homes is seeking a Business Systems Manager responsible for the administration, optimization, and strategic development of the company’s ERP system and related business applications. This role ensures that core systems effectively support financial and operational processes across the organization.


As Business Systems Manager, you will serve as a critical bridge between business operations and technology, partnering with Finance, Construction, and Purchasing teams to improve workflows, enhance data integrity, and drive adoption of system-based solutions. This role requires a balance of business process understanding, systems expertise, project management capability, and strong interpersonal influence.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

ERP & Systems Ownership

  • Administer and maintain ERP system, including configuration, workflows, and user access
  • Ensure system reliability, performance, and operational effectiveness
  • Own how core business processes are executed within systems
  • Support alignment between business operations and system functionality

Project Management & System Implementations

  • Lead planning and execution of system-related projects, including ERP implementations, upgrades, integrations, and enhancements
  • Define project scope, timelines, and priorities in coordination with stakeholders
  • Manage cross-functional project teams and external vendors
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives
  • Drive user adoption and ensure successful transition to new processes and systems

Business Process Improvement

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate and improve workflows
  • Translate business needs into scalable, system-enabled solutions
  • Lead initiatives to streamline and standardize processes
  • Reduce reliance on manual workarounds and improve system utilization
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and scalability through better systems and workflows

Emerging Technology & AI Enablement

  • Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for automation and AI-enabled tools, including workflow standardization,
  • system integration, and process maturity
  • Support implementation and integration of future AI-enabled business applications and automation tools
  • Collaborate with BI and IT resources to improve data accessibility and usability for future AI initiatives

Systems Integration & Data Flow

  • Manage integrations between ERP and other business systems
  • Ensure accurate and consistent data flow across platforms
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system and interface issues
  • Coordinate with vendors and technical resources on integration enhancements and maintenance

Vendor & System Management

  • Serve as primary contact for ERP and application vendors
  • Lead vendor coordination for implementations, upgrades, and issue resolution
  • Evaluate and recommend tools to improve operational efficiency
  • Assist in management of software licensing, support relationships, and system roadmap planning

User Support & Training

  • Provide system training and ongoing user support
  • Develop documentation and promote best practices
  • Drive increased adoption and effective use of systems across departments
  • Support change management and user transition during implementations and process changes

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7–15+ years of experience in ERP systems, business systems, or applications management
  • Experience in construction, homebuilding, or job cost environments strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience leading system implementations or major system enhancements
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and working with external vendors
  • Proven track record of improving business processes through system solutions
  • Exposure or familiarity with workflow automation, AI-enabled business applications, or process automation tools preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT

We are an in-person culture with a core work schedule of 8:00am – 5:00pm, including a required daily morning huddle that begins at 8:00am in-office. While schedules may vary based on business need, this role typically operates in a high-demand environment and may require extended hours, often averaging above a standard 40-hour workweek.
