The Position: 

As an Catering Cook for Fireside Catering you will assist or lead in the preparation, cooking and plating of delicious meals for a wide variety of events with unique menus. You will have the opportunity to work at exclusive venues like the Crane Estate, and Estate at Moraine Farm.  The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a creative mindset, and excellent attention to detail. Part-time hours available in a fun and fast-paced environment. This is an hourly position.

Responsibilities: 

• Work as a team with other kitchen staff members efficiently and effectively 
• Ensure that all food is prepared and presented in accordance with food safety and sanitation guidelines 
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including proper storage and labeling of all food items  
• Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of all kitchen equipment, including knives, cutting boards, and food processors 
• Ensure that all food waste is minimized and disposed of properly 

Requirements: 

• Must be able to lift 30 lbs. 
• Experience in a professional kitchen 
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed 
• Take pride in your job – We use ingredients from our own farm, The Farm at Gibbet Hill and many local vendors. 
• Strong communication skills, ability to follow direction and ability to work in a fast paced team environment
