Pay: $55–$65 per hour (DOE) + monthly performance bonus
Location: Oregon & Southwest Washington

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Fire Alarm Systems Team Lead to lead our fire alarm installation, service, and repair operations. This role is ideal for a strong fire alarm professional with proven low-voltage experience and leadership ability who thrives in the field while guiding and mentoring technicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead installation, service, repair, modification, and programming of low-voltage fire alarm and life-safety systems
  • Perform and oversee inspection, testing, and maintenance per NFPA 72 and local AHJ requirements
  • Troubleshoot system deficiencies and coordinate corrective repairs
  • Supervise, mentor, and train fire alarm technicians
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and manufacturer documentation
  • Coordinate inspections and acceptance testing with fire marshals and AHJs
  • Assist sales and project teams with bids, planning, and system layouts
  • Prepare accurate service reports, inspection records, and compliance documentation
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for assigned customers and projects
  • Support emergency service calls as needed

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of fire alarm installation, service, inspection, and troubleshooting experience
  • Strong low-voltage systems experience, required
  • 2+ years of leadership, lead technician, or crew supervision experience
  • In-depth working knowledge of NFPA 72, local fire codes, and electrical standards
  • NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level II or higher (Level III preferred or willingness to pursue)
  • Ability to meet Oregon and Washington AHJ requirements
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

  • ICC certifications
  • Experience working across multiple jurisdictions (OR & WA)
  • Knowledge of fire sprinkler monitoring and system integration

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 40 feet
  • Ability to work in confined spaces (crawl spaces, above ceilings)
  • Ability to lift and carry tools and equipment up to 50 lbs
Salary Description
$55-65/hr
