What a Typical Day Could Look Like
As a Senior Community Director, you'll be the conductor of an extraordinary symphony of resident experiences, leading a passionate team to create a vibrant and engaging community. You'll be a strategic mastermind, a creative innovator, and a resident advocate, ensuring that every touchpoint is infused with warmth, connection, and a touch of magic. You are the Team Leader!
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and train new team members, providing them with the tools and knowledge they need to excel!
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities for team members, fostering a culture of growth and empowerment!
- Conduct performance reviews and regular check-ins with individual associates, providing constructive feedback and recognizing their achievements!
- Ensure team members follow emergency procedures and comply with local, state, and federal regulations!
You are the Resident Advocate!
- Make final decisions on lease agreements and resident applications, ensuring a smooth and efficient leasing process!
- Address and resolve resident concerns, complaints, and issues promptly, demonstrating a commitment to resident satisfaction!
- Support the Assistant Community Director in resident retention efforts and maintain open communication with residents, building strong relationships and fostering a sense of belonging!
You are the Financial Pro!
- Manage budget preparation, financial reporting, and community income flow, ensuring the financial health and stability of the community!
- Maximize net operating income (NOI) while ensuring a positive resident and associate experience, demonstrating a commitment to both financial performance and resident satisfaction!
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure compliance with accounting procedures!
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement, contributing to the financial success of the community!
You are the Community Expert!
- Ensure the community is in excellent condition through regular inspections of common areas, vacant units, and amenities!
- Oversee the upkeep of the community, including landscaping, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance!
- Support the Service Manager in managing inventory, approving vendor contracts, and ensuring safety practices are followed!

Key Skills and Abilities Needed to Succeed in This Role:
- 6-7 years of experience in the multifamily industry or a related hospitality field.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and leading a team of multifamily professionals (at least 3 years of experience).
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices, including budgeting, financial reporting, and market analysis.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Proficient in relevant software and technology (property management systems, etc.).
- Familiarity with relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations (Fair Housing, evictions, etc.).
- CAM or IREM certifications are highly desirable.
- Must have a valid driver's license with no major infractions in the last 12 months.
