Marketing Specialist (Multi-Entity Support)
Remote: Davenport, IA / Denver, CO / Austin, TX
Description

About Us

Since 1969, MoboTrex has been committed to providing advanced traffic management solutions to the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) industry. Our forward-thinking founders understood the importance of smart mobility and how vital it would be to the future of our cities and economies.

Today, we remain a leader in the ITS industry, driving innovation that keeps communities moving safely and efficiently.

Primary Objective

The Marketing Specialist owns day-to-day marketing execution across all of our operating companies. This is a hands-on, AI-native generalist role: building and running campaigns in ActiveCampaign, maintaining websites in Duda across every entity, tracking inbound performance and lead flow, running our LinkedIn-led social presence, and producing the sales collateral our regional teams use every day. The right person treats AI tools as a daily co-worker and uses them to ship more, faster, with a smaller team than this scope would normally require.

Location: Remote (U.S.); preference for candidates near Davenport, IA / Denver, CO / Austin, TX

Travel: Minimal (<10%)

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Campaigns and Lead Generation

• Plan, build, deploy, and measure email campaigns, newsletters, and nurture sequences in ActiveCampaign across all entities.

• Maintain segmented contact lists, suppression rules, and automation workflows; keep data clean and deliverability healthy.

• Partner with sales on inbound lead routing, follow-up workflows, and reporting on campaign-sourced pipeline.

• Provide general marketing support to lead-generation activities across the business, including light backup for sales-led bid and opportunity tracking when needed.

Website and Digital Properties

• Own and maintain websites for all of our brands in the Duda CMS: content updates, page builds, forms, and publishing workflows.

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and outside agencies on larger site changes, redesigns, and brand transitions.

• Ensure brand, navigation, and messaging consistency across the portfolio while respecting each entity’s positioning.

SEO, AEO, and Web Performance

• Manage on-page SEO and emerging AEO (answer-engine optimization) practices across all sites.

• Track and report on web traffic, conversions, inbound form submissions, and channel performance using analytics tools.

• Translate the data into a short, recurring read-out that tells leadership what’s working, what isn’t, and what to change.

Social Media

• Run our LinkedIn-led social presence: content calendar, posting, engagement, and reporting across the portfolio.

• Maintain a light, defensive presence on Facebook and X; no significant ongoing investment expected unless changes.

• Source and shape content from sales, product, and leadership voices into posts that use a professional expert tone.

Sales Collateral and Brand Assets

• Produce and maintain sales collateral: datasheets, one-pagers, sell sheets, decks, case studies, and event handouts.

• Keep templates, brand guidelines, and shared asset libraries current and easy for non-marketers to use.

• Drive consistent brand expression across all entities and customer touchpoints.

AI-Native Workflow

• Use AI tools (e.g. Claude) daily to increase productivity and quality: drafting, editing, summarizing, analyzing, and automating routine tasks.

• Identify and roll out workflow improvements that let a small marketing team punch well above its weight.

• Help raise AI fluency across the broader team by sharing patterns and prompts that work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent practical experience with demonstrated success in digital marketing, campaign execution, content development, and marketing technology platforms will be considered.

• Demonstrated proficiency with marketing automation / email platforms (ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, Constant Contact, or equivalent).

• Working experience with a modern CMS; Duda experience is a strong plus.

• Comfortable with web analytics, SEO fundamentals, and reporting on channel performance.

• Strong writing and editing instincts; able to take a rough idea and ship a finished asset.

• Demonstrable, current use of AI tools (Claude Cowork, or similar) in a professional application, not just exposure.

• Self-directed; comfortable working remotely and supporting multiple business units with different audiences across several US time zones.

• B2B experience preferred; ITS / traffic / infrastructure / industrial distribution / DOT and contractor bidding experience is a plus but not required.

Success Metrics

• Campaign cadence and quality: campaigns launched on time, lists healthy, deliverability strong.

• Website health across all entities: content current, forms working, performance trending up.

• Inbound performance: traffic, conversions, and marketing-sourced leads delivered to sales.

• Collateral coverage: sales has what they need, when they need it, on-brand.

• Visible leverage from AI in throughput and quality of work shipped.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Onsite or remote, primarily desk-based work with extended computer use.

• Occasional travel for team meetings, trade shows, or user group events (typically less than 10%).

• Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds when supporting on-site events.
