Fulfillment Manager
Description

  

The role of the Fulfillment Manager is to oversee all operations related to fulfillment, hand assembly, warehousing, and shipping/receiving. The individual must be able to facilitate industry best practices, manage issues or conflicts with quick resolution, maintain best safety practices and manage his/her team effectively.  This position requires a self-motivated, mature individual that can work in a fast paced, time sensitive environment. 


SPECIFIC DUTIES:

§ Manage the day-to-day operations of fulfillment, hand assembly, shipping, receiving and warehousing/inventory control.

§ Design, review and document processes to drive efficiencies, streamline operations and optimize cross training opportunities. 

§ Lead and support the production coordinator team and ensure customer SLAs are being met for pick and pack orders.

§ Ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost; determine best process for cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and assist in defining low stock thresholds and notifications.

§ Act as the subject matter expert for PrintStream, Process Shipper, and any additional software needed.

§ Work with temporary labor agencies or F&F to flex labor based on incoming workload

§ Manage the inventory “issues” (pulling large quantities of inventory for shipment).

§ Manage the vendor relationships with UPS, FedEx, etc.

§ Lead the onboarding of new fulfillment customers.

§ Work with cross functional teams to ensure integrations are working as expected and identify areas for improvement.

§ Continuously analyze and improve fulfillment workflows to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and ensure cost-effectiveness.

§ Maintain accurate records of order fulfillment performance metrics, inventory levels, and any operational challenges. Provide regular reports to senior management on key performance indicators (KPIs).

§ Ability to implement quality processes that enhance plant operations, maintenance, policies, procedures & production goals.

§ Microsoft office tools: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.

§ Background in safety and ability to understand all state requirements necessary.

§ Interpersonal skills necessary, including both written and verbal, to interact effectively with internal and external contacts to provide or exchange information and identify and resolve moderately complex issues.  


MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED 

§  High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 


MINIMUM YEARS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

§ Five (5) years of Managing a team of people or leading a process is required. 

§ At least four (4) years detailed background in commercial print or in-house bindery operations.
