Subway Assistant Store Manager
Description

The Gas Station Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager in the daily operations to enhance operational efficiency and financial performance of the company. This professional supports the company's policies, directs and prioritizes the work of the station personnel and works toward improving customer satisfaction.

Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service to all guests. 

• Greet customers as they approach the service counter. 

• Take and prepare food orders accurately and in a timely manner. 

• Explain menu items and sandwich preparation while customizing orders to customer specifications. 

• Inform customers of promotions, specials, and featured items. 

• Upsell products and suggest add-on items during transactions. 

• Resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.

• Prepare sandwiches and food products according to company recipes and standards. 

• Ensure the quality, freshness, and proper portioning of all food items served. 

• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards at all times. 

• Monitor food rotation, expiration dates, and product quality. 

• Ensure all food preparation areas, equipment, and utensils are properly cleaned and sanitized. 

• Assist with inventory control and minimize product waste and shrink.

• Operate cash register and accurately complete sales transactions. 

• Process lottery sales in accordance with company policy, where applicable. 

• Maintain proper cash accountability during shifts. 

• Assist with daily paperwork including inventory, ordering, receiving merchandise, scheduling, and cash reconciliation. 

• Monitor and report shortages, overages, or operational concerns. 

• Assist with audits and understanding restaurant profitability goals.

• Order and receive food products and supplies as directed. 

• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and stock rotation. 

• Stock and restock food lines, coolers, storage areas, and displays. 

• Ensure pricing, promotions, and menu boards are accurate and current. 

• Maintain organization and cleanliness of storage and preparation areas.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. 

• Perform regular cleaning duties including counters, prep areas, dining areas, floors, restrooms, windows, and equipment. 

• Sweep, mop, dust, remove trash, and clean both interior and exterior areas as needed. 

• Ensure all workstations remain stocked, clean, and operational throughout shifts.

Requirements
  • Requires education generally equivalent to a high school diploma.
  • Requires knowledge of and the ability to use a variety of standard office equipment such as a calculator, telephone, and facsimile machine. 
  • Requires excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with employees, customers, and vendors.
