Child'sPlay Therapy Center is seeking a passionate and collaborative Part-Time Occupational Therapist to join our team starting in the 2026–2027 school year! This position will provide services across two school locations for approximately 20 hours per week in the Birmingham metro area.

In addition to our school partnerships, we also provide comprehensive outpatient therapy services, creating opportunities for collaboration across settings and disciplines.
Position Overview
The Occupational Therapist will support students within the school setting through evaluation, direct therapy services, collaboration with educational teams, and IEP-related documentation and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations for students within the school setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development
- Complete documentation, progress reports, and IEP reporting requirements in a timely manner
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers to support student success
- Maintain compliance with school district and state guidelines
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Passion for helping children thrive in educational environments
